Cold shower

First day of the contest in Tarifa wasn’t very good for me. I couldn’t really get into the conditions but it was quite windy. All my moves against Egor Popretynsky where really shaky and unsecure. I didn’t crash but I just didn’t do enough. That shows how the level raised from last year. All the riders improved a lot. There were few surprises in the single elimination like: Andre Paskowski lost and he is now 9th. Michael Rossmeier beat him and became 4th in the single. Well done Rossi! I finished the single on the 9th position.
After we have where done we started the double. In the double I sailed against Ruben Petriesie in the first round. I improved my moves and won that heat. Later I was sailing against Remko De Weerd. I had a good heat but Remko sailed very well and even land a double spock. He passed and I finished the double in the place number 13. You can check the heat with Remko below:

All in all we had good conditions but somehow I lost something. It’s not the skills but the courage to do the moves which I trained in Cape Town. I was sailing very safe and that’s good but actually this year I have to show more to hold and even make a better result than last year.
We are still on standby to finish the double elimination and start another single. The forecast looks not bad so I’m optimistic and looking forward to check if I learned something today and fight back in the next round. Can’t wait!
More news soon.
